Located in Northern Italy, in the South Tyrol region, Bolzano is near both the Dolomites and the Garda Lake, making it a perfect destination for those wanting to explore the Italian countryside. Working closely with the tour operator Slopestar, SkyAlps will offer the western of Sweden easy access to snowy slopes in the Italian Dolomites with famous ski resorts such as Canazei, Cortina, Val Gardena and Alta Badia, all in close proximity to Bolzano.

- I am very happy to welcome SkyAlps to Göteborg Landvetter Airport with the new, exciting destination of Bolzano, says Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business at Swedavia. We see a continued high demand for international travel to and from Sweden, and this investment SkyAlps is making will please many skiers from Western Sweden who now will have a direct route to the Italian Dolomites. By being able to offer a wide range of destinations at our airports, we strengthen the connectivity and make it easier for people to travel, whether it's for leisure or to visit family and friends, she says.

- We are thrilled to expand our presence in Scandinavia with this new direct flight connection between Gothenburg and Bolzano, states Josef Gostner, President of SkyAlps. Until now, SkyAlps has offered winter connections between Billund-Bolzano and Copenhagen-Bolzano, and we are seeing increasing interest from the Swedish market to explore the Dolomites, with their 300 days of sunshine a year and over 1,200 kilometers of impeccably prepared slopes. Starting January 18, traveling from Sweden to the heart of this alpine paradise will be easier than ever—SkyAlps will take you to Bolzano in about two and a half hours, and spoil you with its first-class on-board service as well as regional delights, he says.

- We have worked closely together with SkyAlps in promoting ski trips to the Italian Dolomites for 3 years now - and we are thrilled about the fantastic service they offer our guests on their flights, says Christian Kerstens, Managing director Slopestar. Therefore, we are very excited about this new route from Gothenburg to Bolzano, which opens for ski trips to famous Italian destinations like Canazei, Livigno and Passo Tonale, he says.

Starting on January 18th the route Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) - Bolzano (BZO) will be operated once a week, on Saturdays.
