Swedavia is making organizational changes to improve the conditions for air connectivity in Sweden.
Sweden needs strong connectivity, both domestically and internationally. This is vital for Sweden’s growth and competitiveness, as well as for keeping the country connected and linking Sweden with the rest of the world. To support this, Swedavia is implementing changes aimed at creating a more customer-focused and cost-efficient operation, with the goal of establishing better conditions for Swedish aviation. As a result of these changes, Swedavia is also adapting its organizational structure.
We need to develop Arlanda as an international hub and create the conditions for a well-functioning airport network throughout Sweden. By simplifying our structure, prioritizing our core mission, and making more decisions closer to our customers, we will become more efficient. This also means that the number of positions within our support functions will be reduced,” says Mats Johannesson, President and CEO of Swedavia.
The process of adapting and streamlining the organization will begin immediately and is expected to be completed before the end of the year. In total, the changes are expected to affect approximately 125 positions, including vacant roles. As a result, Swedavia has today issued redundancy notices affecting 95 positions, primarily at the company’s head office in Stockholm.
